Chief Hon. Collins Ugochukwu Iheonunekwu (M.Sc, CFPM, CFE), popularly known as Ochake, is a dedicated public servant representing Isiala Ngwa North Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly. His journey in public service is driven by a deep commitment to addressing the challenges facing his constituents, rooted in his Christian faith and humble beginnings.

From Egbelu-Ihie, he is married to Mrs. Amarachi Iheonunekwu and blessed with three wonderful boys. His political career has been marked by principled leadership, having recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Labour Party (LP) in April 2025, demonstrating his commitment to progressive politics and effective representation.

Honored with the traditional titles of Miri Oma Na-Ezoro Oha 1 of Ihie and UGOBUZUO 1 OCHAKE of Abia State by the Council of Traditional Rulers, these recognitions reflect his enormous contributions to community development.

In October 2024, he demonstrated his commitment to preserving cultural heritage by advocating for the renaming of the proposed Bola Ahmed Tinubu Federal University of Nigerian Languages in Aba after the late Jaja Wachuku, highlighting his dedication to honoring foundational figures from the Aba zone.
